Singapore University Scholarships For International Students

If you are interested in studying in Singapore, but cannot afford the exorbitant tuition fees, there are several scholarships to consider. These awards can help cover your tuition, accommodation, and stipend while you study abroad.



The Singapore government offers a number of undergraduate scholarships for Southeast Asian students who wish to pursue their studies in the country. These scholarships can be applied for at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

1. SINGA Ph.D. Scholarship

The Singapore International Graduate Award, or SINGA, is a scholarship program that allows qualified international students to pursue a PhD degree in Singapore. It is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

SINGA Scholarships are fully funded for international students to enroll in PhD study programs at NTU, NUS and SUTD. This includes tuition fees, monthly stipend for living expenses, airfare grant and settling-in allowance.

Eligible applicants should have outstanding academic records and a passion for research. They should also have excellent English language skills.

To apply, you need to submit your application and all required documents online via the SINGA website. Do not send any hard copy documents to the SINGA office.

2. NIE Ph.D. Scholarship

NIE offers a fully-funded PhD Scholarship for international students who want to study in Singapore. This scholarship covers all tuition fees and accommodation.

The award is open to all international graduates with a passion for research and outstanding academic results. Applicants must also have specified research areas and good command over English.

This fully-funded PhD Scholarship is available for international students to study at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS or SUTD.

It includes a monthly stipend of SGD 2,000-SGD 2,500 and a one-time air-fare grant and settling-in allowance.

In addition, the scholarship provides relocation assistance and paid medical and maternity/paternity leave.

Interested international PhD students can apply for the award online. The application process is competitive and only selected candidates will be informed via e-mail within 12 weeks from the application closing date.

3. HYI - NUS Joint Scholarship

The HYI - NUS Joint Scholarship offers full scholarships to international students to study in Singapore for undergraduate studies 2022-2023. The scholarship is available for students who have a good academic record and outstanding leadership potential.

The scholarship is open to citizens of ASEAN countries (except Singapore) or permanent residents of Singapore that are planning to study for undergraduate degree programmes at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It is an 80% tuition fee waiver program.

HYI - NUS Scholarship is available for international students who want to pursue undergraduate degrees in any field at NTU. This scholarship is offered to students who have a high school diploma or equivalent qualifications and demonstrate an exceptional academic profile, strong leadership skills, and excellent co-curricular performance.

The HYI - NUS Scholarship is fully funded for international students, who have a high school diploma or equivalent credentials and are pursuing an undergraduate degree programme at NTU. It is a fee-waiver program that covers the tuition fees and monthly living stipend for international students studying in Singapore.

4. SUSSS Undergraduate Scholarship

Scholarships are a great way to help international students pay for their undergraduate studies abroad. These awards range from monetary to in-kind support such as tuition fees waiver, travel assistance, and housing accommodation.

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the sponsoring organization. This includes submitting an application form and required documents to the organization or university that is awarding you the scholarship.
